ClickBooth.com VS Affiliates, Part Two

Two weeks ago I published an article on the affiliate network ClickBooth entitled, “Companies That Can’t Take Bad Press, Part One; ClickBooth.com“. In short, it’s a story of a large company pushing around small bloggers and affiliates. Affiliates who are claiming they never received payment. But I’m not going to rehash that, just read it for yourself.

This week I’m pointing out the fact that it seems like ClickBooth would rather pay off a few people for good “reviews” instead of coming out with a statement of their own. Remember when I said this:

“So ClickBooth, if you’re reading this, I’d like to give you the opportunity to respond to this whole thing. I’ll even dedicate an entire thread to just your response and I won’t add anything to it.”

Well, I never heard a word from anyone at ClickBooth. No e-mail, no C&D letter, no phone call, nothing… which is strange, because if you search for “Clickbooth” in Google, Skewism is in the top ten results. Instead, good reviews have been popping up in a few places defending ClickBooth. Which would normally be fine, but these reviews are either from people who have never used ClickBooth, or simply talk the company up, but remain anonymous. Allow me to give you three examples…

Neil Patel of Pronetadvertising.com

In a post on his site, Neil Patel defends ClickBooth from the evil spammers spreading rumors. That’s fine, but there’s something a little fishy about making a post like that… especially since it was almost a month since his prior post. Oh… but why was there almost a month long gap in Neil’s posts? Well because he was too busy making money with ClickBooth of course!

Zac Johnson of ZacJohnson.com

In his post, Zac does an in depth review of ClickBooth. He even says the following:

“After final review, I rate ClickBooth with 4 out of 5 “Zac Stamps of Approval. “

The only problem? Zac admits that he hasn’t ever used ClickBooth before. He’s never ran a single campaign prior to giving them such a glowing review. On a side note, I give shit sandwiches a 4 out of 5 on the “Skewism Stamp of Approval” scale… but don’t bitch at me if you try a shit sandwich and you don’t like it… I haven’t actually tried one yet.

Last But Not Least; Mysterious YouTube Affiliate

No words need to be said about this video… it’s obvious YouTube spam. Just watch (the unrelated pictures), listen and check out the other videos in the account. Oh… and ClickBooth, the offer still stands…
